Course description
Mortise and tenon, dowels, lamellos…? 3 hours to learn it all
Become familiar with the essential tools and techniques for woodworking. You will learn to master the vocabulary and the tools, whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your skills.
There are no prerequisites, and you do not need to have a specific project to take part in this workshop.
Content:
- hand sawing, using traditional saws and Japanese saws,
- proper use of the jigsaw,
- the different types of joints: traditional (mortise and tenon, groove, tongue, rabbet, straight joint, dovetail…) and modern (dowels, lamellos, …)
The workshop alternates between technical explanations and hands-on exercises (hand sawing, jigsaw use, …).

Please note:
- We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes.
- To continue practicing, this workshop can be followed by “Modern Joints” and the use of chisels in “Traditional Hand-Cut Joints”.
