Metal polyhedron
De la feuille de zinc brute à l’objet fini, cet atelier vous accompagne pas à pas dans la réalisation de votre propre polyèdre. Vous découvrirez les différentes nuances des métaux (zinc, cuivre, laiton, acier), apprendrez à les travailler avec précision et maîtriserez la technique de la soudure à l’étain.
Une expérience complète pour développer votre créativité et votre savoir-faire.
Content and objectives:
- Discovering materials: Handling and comparing different metals (zinc, copper, brass, steel) to understand their properties and choose the one best suited to your future projects.
- Precise marking: Transferring the polyhedron template onto the zinc sheet using a scribing point to ensure clean and accurate cutting.
- Cutting with shears: Using manual metal shears to cut the polyhedron elements according to the marked lines.
- Quality control: Carefully checking each cut element to ensure it perfectly matches the model.
- Assembly by tack welding and soldering: Preparing the pieces by tack joining, then assembling the faces of the polyhedron using a soldering iron and tin.
- Solder finishing: Smoothing the solder joints with a file or sandpaper to achieve an aesthetic finish.
- Custom patina: Applying a patina suited to the material to give your polyhedron a unique finish.

Gloves and a protective overshirt are provided for the duration of the workshop.
