Course description

Changing your perspective to draw with ease

We offer a two- to three-day course to start learning how to draw (or to improve your skills) using the so-called “right-brain” drawing method.

This course is open to everyone, especially those who feel incapable of drawing.

Duration:

Journées de 6 heures avec une pause d’une heure pour le déjeuner.

Deux journées pour le niveau 1 puis 2 autres journées pour le niveau 2 ou bien en intensif, 3 journées consécutives.

Content and objectives:

The goal of these days is to successfully create your first realistic sketches.

The workshop is based on becoming aware of our modes of perception and encourages a more intuitive approach, grounded in real observation. Because drawing is seeing… and seeing can be learned!

This course is led by Benoît Jaillet, sculptor and instructor, and Natalie Van Belle, Belgian artist and ceramicist.

A method for enjoyment, or for anyone who needs drawing as a tool in their professional or creative activities—to note ideas, give form to projects (DIYers, craftspeople…), etc.

Assessment:

Group discussion and drawing test
Ongoing observation by the instructor

Please note:

  • To discover the method, we offer a 2.5-hour workshop.
  • You may bring your own lunch if you wish; otherwise, you can take your break at nearby shops.
  • To go further, you can return for a Level 2 course; you will find the program in this document:

Then a Level 3 day.
