Your photograph in cyanotype

The aim of these three hours with Vincent is to get introduced to the cyanotype process by producing a print of one of your photographs from a digital file.
No specific technical knowledge is required.

Content and objectives:

Nous choisirons ensemble votre photographie / création graphique en tenant compte de la spécificité du Cyanotype et préparerons un négatif numérique pour un tirage par contact.

Cela nous permettra  d’aborder quelques notions importantes sur Photoshop (calque de réglage, masque de Fusion, optimisation de la netteté…).

• Historical and technical background
• Coating the paper sheets
• Selecting and preparing the image, creating an optimized digital negative
• Producing a first test cyanotype: calculating optimal exposure time
• Test prints of your photograph: analysis and corrections
• Final print, drying, and framing

After this workshop, you will be autonomous and able to easily create cyanotypes at home.

Please note:

Bring a selection of 4–5 digital photos that you are the author of (landscapes, still lifes, urban photography, and highly graphic images are recommended).
