Collage and writing workshop

This 3-hour “Collage and Writing” workshop, led by artist Charlotte His, is a playful and supportive invitation to let go and explore new ways of expressing yourself artistically.
For Charlotte His, a paper collage artist and poet-performer, collage enables intuitive and spontaneous writing, and conversely, writing and words open the way to entirely new forms of collage…

Content and objectives:

Over the course of these three hours, you will be guided with supportive creative prompts designed to help you let go and stimulate your imagination and creative flow.

• Materials provided: We will mainly work with images and words taken from magazines and newspapers.
• Haiku inspiration: This workshop is inspired by the concise poetic form of the haiku (these short Japanese poems that capture the moment) to guide your creations. Whether composing a “poem-collage” or creating an image that responds to a few words, you will explore the art of saying a lot with very little.
• Letting go and spontaneity: Say goodbye to writer’s block! Within a supportive group, the prompts will help you release the pressure of pure writing and allow your unique creativity to emerge.
