FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Here you’ll find essential answers about our courses and workshops in Paris (Nation/Picpus): online booking, gift cards, minimum age, cancellation/exchange, tools and annual registration to come and work in the workshop, as well as access (metro, parking) and visiting the venue.

Gift cards

Don’t worry — our gift cards are valid for 3 years.

If your gift card was purchased at L’Établisienne, you don’t need any additional reference.

Once you’ve chosen a session, your first and last name are enough. Select “Gift card” as the payment method.

Booking, exchanges & refunds

The gift recipient is leaving France, is suffering from a long-term illness…

We will, on request, refund orders for self-service hours and courses that are still valid and unused.

However, packaging, registration and shipping fees will be retained (€5 to €15 depending on the options chosen at the time of order).

We undertake to refund, on request, any booking cancelled at least 48 hours in advance for courses lasting from 2 hours to one day.

For training courses lasting more than one day, cancellation or rescheduling must be requested no later than 8 days before the start of the course.

If we cancel or reschedule a session, we will offer either to move your booking to a new date or to refund you.

Who can attend & participation

All creative workshops are open to children when accompanied.

Participation in woodworking training workshops is possible from age 16 with parental consent.

Thanks to its training and courses, L’Établisienne enables you to acquire the knowledge you need to embark on your own project.

Learn to use tools such as the router and circular saw, discover woodworking with our cabinetmakers through our courses, or book a one-to-one session for personalised support with one of our professionals.

Yes, provided each person has a membership. However, we only charge one hour for two!

Access & visiting

Nous sommes situés entre les stations Picpus et Nation.
Si vous venez par la ligne 6, sortez à Picpus.

For the other lines, choose Nation.

We don’t have our own car park; however, you can stop in front of the door to unload.

It is usually easy to find parking spaces on Boulevard de Picpus.

Of course! L’Établisienne will be happy to welcome you if you’d like to look around—whether you’re planning a booking or just curious.

We’re normally open 7 days a week, 10:00–19:00. You can drop in without an appointment any day (except on public holidays and during holiday closures).

How the workshop works

Registration at L’Établisienne is required to use our workshops in self-service. When you sign up, you must confirm that you have valid civil liability insurance.

To fairly manage workbench usage, booking is required to plan your visit.

If you are not already trained, you will need to take a course to use routers (schedule here) and circular saws (schedule there).

OUI, car l’Établisienne vous propose de stocker votre travail le temps de sa réalisation. Nul besoin de s’encombrer à chaque fin de journée !

However, after two months without news from you, it will be considered abandoned.

Our tools are for on-site use only.

Noise and dust as much as you like! However, no welding.
