Make your own wooden vase

From the design of an object to its creation

A wooden vase, which has been very trendy in recent years, can be used to showcase dried flowers or displayed empty, as a sculpture. The designer Yann Gandon, invites you to come and create a unique solid wood vase.

Duration of the Wooden Vase Workshop

It will take 3.5 hours to complete your wooden vase. The first hour is for drawing, then the fabrication of the vase itself.

Content & Objectives

No prerequisites are required. Whether you are a beginner or experienced in design and creation, Yann will guide you.

This workshop is divided into two parts. The first part of the evening will be dedicated to designing and drawing the vase on paper as you envision it. You will choose a piece of wood and transfer your drawing onto it. The second part will take place in the workshop and will be devoted to cutting, sanding, and finishing. You will learn all aspects of wooden vase making, from wood selection to the final polishing.

By the end of this course, you will know which tools to use and be familiar with the basic techniques for working with wood to create unique objects.
