Can you introduce yourself in a few words?

My name is Virginie. After business school and a career in the insurance sector, I decided to follow my passion for interior decoration, textiles, and chairs, and became an upholsterer–decorator (tapissier décorateur).

What is your story with L’Établisienne?

I met Laurence in 2011, almost at the very beginning of L’Établisienne. I immediately connected with her project and became L’Établisienne’s upholstery advisor.

What do you do there?

I support members in the restoration of their chairs, always with the goal that they feel proud of what they’ve accomplished.

Your favorite material?

Animal hair stuffing (crin animal).

Your favourite tool?

A ramponneau.

Your favorite object?

All chairs, of every style!

Your favorite gesture?

Folding and shaping the stuffing of a seat.
