Can you introduce yourself in a few words?

After studying at a business school, I worked as a management controller in a small company that manufactures and sells office furniture. In 2012, I began a career change toward a profession that had always fascinated me: cabinetmaking. I decided to become an ébéniste. Today, with my CAP diploma and several years of training behind me, I run a small studio creating bespoke furniture and interior fittings for both private clients and professionals.

What is your story with L’Établisienne?

I discovered L’Établisienne in 2012, at the very beginning of my career change. At the time, I was exploring places in Paris that could help train me without necessarily committing to a long and costly formal program.

I took my first steps at L’Établisienne by following their training courses, and I also spent countless hours there working independently—making, unmaking, starting over, and persevering. That’s where I truly developed my skills.
I landed my first project in March 2014, then gradually moved toward independence with regular commissions. I rented the space for different stages of fabrication. Today, I complete my activity by teaching woodworking courses at L’Établisienne myself. The circle is complete!

What’s new for you right now?

Alongside my custom interior projects, throughout 2019 I focused on more personal creative work.

With the launch of my new website, www.marie-siudak.com  I introduced my first two collections, composed of lighting pieces. These collections will gradually be expanded with additional furniture and decorative objects.

Your favorite material? Veneer wood, especially for creating my own decorative surfaces
